Saharis is a desert soldier, rather like a French Foreign
Legionaire, who was a role-playing character. What better
soldier in the desert than a camel?
Here Saharis shows off his best Rudolph Valentino
impression. Also a quick sketch idea for his weaponry and
full uniform.
A good look at Saharis' headgear and another full body
shot, where we get to see the final version of his uniform.
The weapon of the race of Slavers from Larry Niven's
Ringworld series. Ed was at one point designing this to be a
workable prop, but it soon became apparent that such a
project would involve a staggering amount of work.
When a creature is immortal, it is expected that they have an
off century now and then. Case in point, this unicorn
character from a role-playing game who has been on a
bender for as long as anyone can remember. The original
painting is 16" x 20", painted in pastels.
The interior of a rustic medieval tavern. Study for a painting.
A troll living in the modern world has to have his tunes! A
sketch for a role-playing character.
A doodle of a rearing unicorn.
And another doodle of a unicorn, this one a little more
finished.
Another character from a role-playing game, Valseverak is a
transtemporal field researcher from an alternate dino-
universe.
A centaur warrior carrying his standard into battle and calling
for his troops to rally round. Study for a painting.
